Just 15 minutes from downtown Orlando, at the Orange Blossom KOA you will be able to enjoy a small town atmosphere. Unlike the larger campgrounds with hundreds of sites, you will get to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and personal attention in a location that is convenient to everything that Central Florida has to offer.

Winter Garden RV Resort has the advantage of being minutes from the world famous attractions in Florida, and it is just 90 miles to either coast. While this RV resort is small enough to be friendly, it is big enough to provide RVer’s with all types of amenities.

You will be glad to know that Winter Garden RV resorts can accommodate double slide outs and has-pull through sites. You will have both 30 and 50 amp electric and full hookup sites. There are some waterfront sites, too!

Located among the rolling hills of Clermont, Florida, this RV resort has over 1,250 sites on 287 acres in beautiful Lake County. This park even has an on-site 18 hole golf course. The course features rolling fairways set among the nature preserve and lakes.

Clerbrook is also close to Sea World, Lakeridge Winery, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Olde Mill Stream is a vacation spot that gives you a place to stroll, ride bikes, fish and enjoy planned activities. This gated community offers 427 spacious sites with an 8’ X 20’ pad, picnic tables and full hook-ups.

The Olde Mill Stream can accommodate double slide outs and has pull through sites and some along the waterfront. All spots have 30/50 amp electric. With mature trees, shrubs and flowers, this well known resort is ideal to spend several weeks at.

This is the opportunity for you to camp right in the middle of the Walt Disney World Resort! The only campground at a Disney Resort, Fort Wilderness is nestled into 740 acres of woodlands, wilderness cabins and campsites for both tents and RVs.

There are campsites that will accommodate tents or 45-foot and longer RVs. There is a maximum of 10 people per site.

Most of the campsites have a sewer hook-up and they have 30/50 amp electric at each site. You are encouraged to add a personal touch and decorate your campsite!

Lake Louisa State Park

It is hard to believe, once you are immersed in nature at Lake Louisa State Park, you are only 30 minutes from Orlando. The 4,500 acres of the park contains 6 lakes, two streams, 105 acres of lake shoreline and 11 natural plant habitats.

You can fish on four of the six lakes in the park, but boats have to be small enough to be hand carried to the water. Electric trolling motors or hand power is permitted on the lakes, no outboard motors.

There are 20 cabins in Lake Louisa State Park that have two bedrooms, two baths and a kitchen with appliances. The cabins are furnished with heat/air conditioning, dishes, silverware, linens, towels and a picnic table and rocking chair on the porch. Two of the cabins are fully accessible.

There are two primitive campsites, Wilderness Point and Pine Point in Lake Louisa Park. Both of these camping areas are in the more pristine and beautiful areas of the park. These sites do not have water or electricity. They do have a fire ring and picnic table. These sites are not accessible by vehicle, and they are pack-in and pack-out.

Just six miles from Daytona Beach, this 20 acre campground is a relaxing place to stay. Here you can experience the full range of the camping experience, from RV hook-ups to fully-equipped cabins or sites for tents.

Try one of the Florida igloos (pictured above) at the Nova Campgrounds. With their 9 foot vaulted ceiling and screened breezeways at both the front and back, it is a great way to travel light.

St. John’s River Campground

The St. John’s River Campground is just ¼ mile from the St. John’s River which has some of the best bass fishing. The river has earned the title as the Bass Capital of the World. At the St. John’s River Campgrounds, their large campsites can accommodate motor homes, trailers or tents. Full hook-up sites include water, swerve and electric.

If you rent a cabin at St. John’s, it will have a full bathroom and complete kitchen with microwaves, dishes and pots and pans. Cabins also have heat and air conditioners and cable TV.  For motor homes or trailers, there is 30/50 amp electric and pull through sites.

Rodman Campground

Sign at the entrance to Rodman Recreation Area - Campground and DamThis 64 site campground offers access to some of Florida’s best freshwater fishing. The Rodman Reservoir has been rated as one of the Top 10 Trophy Bass Lakes in Florida by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

There are 26 primitive tent sites and 38 sites that have power and water hookups. The 1,300 mile long statewide Florida National Scenic Trail runs adjacent to the Rodman Campground. Cyclists can ride the paved areas within the campground loops, Rodman Dam road or the natural surface maintained trail.

There are several species of wildlife that you will see in the Rodman Campground area. Commonly seen are white-tailed deer, wild turkey, wading birds, hawks, bald eagles, osprey and alligators.

Trimble Park is one of five parks in Orange County where you can enjoy nature. Located on 71 acres, Trimble Park is on a peninsula between Carlton and Beauclaire on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Trimble Park campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis if you choose not to make reservations in advance. There are primitive sites that are set aside for tents only, no vehicles are permitted.

According to their brochures, Camping at Orange County Parks & Recreation, Trimble Park is in known bear habitat areas, so you need to be mindful of how you store your food.
